Selsey Camera Club was founded in 1969 and has been a thriving camera club ever since. We are open to members of all ages and are a small friendly club. We welcome members of all abilities to join us and our more experienced members are always on hand with any advice or queries you may have.
All members are invited and encouraged to take part in all competitions and activities. It doesn't matter if your camera is film or digital, simple or complicated, cheap or expensive, all are welcome.
We hold our meetings at St Wilfrids' church hall which is located half way down Church Road. We are also directly on the number 51 bus route with the stop no more than 100 meters from the hall.

The 5th of September heralded the start of the new season. A distinct change from previous years was the 10-minute members night being held on this night. On walking into the hall it was nice to see so many familiar faces together with many faces that I did not recognise. One of which, I was told, being an ex member of many years ago. Hopefully those faces will translate to new members who will join the rest of us in the (light-hearted) battle to win the print or DPI of the year.
What of those 10-minute shows? We were treated to four Presentations which ranged from a romp through 40 years of photography (slides which had been transferred to DPI’s) and covering a range of subjects to two digital slide shows, all of which were accompanied by a commentary. The first slide show was of a visit to San Francisco, USA and the other was about a trip to Turkey. Lastly there was a very advanced and well put together audio - visual show about a year in the life of West Dean Gardens, a venue I, and I am sure many of you, are very familiar with.
Lastly, of course, refreshments supplied by Joan included, among other things, hot sausage rolls and cheese on a stick, all washed down with a glass of wine, which went down very well. Altogether a very enjoyable evening which ranks as the best start to the season for some time – in my humble opinion, that is.
